Here is the after. Jason and i knew for about a year that we wanted to switch our living room and dining room so that the dining room would be larger and so we could fit a large table and a large hutch in the space. I knew i wanted to paint it a nice creamy white so on the advice of my friend bridget at grungy galz i used annie sloan chalk paint and mixed old white with pure white. I always looked for pieces that were in really good condition because i had never been a fan of painting solid wood furniture.

Bridget had a few gorgeous pieces in the store with this same color and i loved it. Since this dining room hutch was so dark i was concerned that it would be difficult to cover. I needed some color in our dining room with all the dark wood in our home. The lines the details the style. I have always loved antique furniture. Ahh old furniture speaks to my old soul and makes my heart skip a beat.
